Environment Overview

Our stewardship of the environment is an important part of Bumble’s overall ESG strategy. We continue to review our business practices for additional sustainable solutions.

In 2021, we announced our pledge to establish a net zero carbon footprint by 2025. We have prioritized working with companies that rely on renewable energy like wind and solar power for our data and cloud provision services. Read our pledge below.

Bumble Inc. Pledges Net Zero Carbon Footprint by 2025

our climate pledge

At Bumble Inc., our mission has always been to promote equality, kindness, and accountability. We’re taking an important step to ensure these values are reflected across our entire business, including the way we interact with our environment.

Bumble Inc. has pledged to establish a net zero carbon footprint by 2025. We won’t be starting from scratch: our public cloud computing facilities and data centers in cities across the U.S. and Europe are already fairly advanced on their journey towards this goal.

What our pledge means in practice is that we’ve outsourced most of our data and cloud provision services to companies prioritizing renewable energy. They’re focused on modernizing their respective technologies to reduce carbon emissions. We prioritize working with companies that rely on renewable energy like wind and solar power for our data and cloud provision services. Some of our hosting and cloud services providers also employ a renewable energy footprint and have already achieved carbon neutrality.
